SWIMMERS

WE NEED YOU:

Welcome to Olympic year! The Dolphins Swim Club, working out of Cedar Springs, has acquired more pool space and we are looking for the next generation of young swimmers between the ages of 8 and 12 years of age. Swimmers should be prepared to swim 1 to 3 times per week depending on their ability. Our program supplements pool workouts with dryland training, which improves coordination and physical literacy in young athletes.

Why choose swimming? Swimming is a great sport that helps young athletes learn discipline, increase their fitness levels and make new friends in a fun and competitive environment. Whether you want to become an Olympian, compete at the highest level you can, or simply improve your fitness levels, the sport of swimming has much to offer.

Our introductory level, Seals 1 teaches young swimmers many new skills that they will not learn in lessons. They are taught the basic mechanics of effective swimming. We improve their kick strength and start introducing them to racing in our in-house swim meets.

Our Seals 2B and 2A programs start to develop the core basics for competitive swimming. Here all 4 strokes are developed with a focus for swimming fast. It is these programs that fill our competitive and age group programs.

Our development programs run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and our pools are located in both Burlington and Oakville. Classes run for an hour and each class has 12-15 swimmers per class. We keep our numbers such that each child receives guidance from our coaches. These programs are the foundation of our team, as it is your young athletes who improve and become stars within our team!

YOU NEVER KNOW UNLESS YOU TRY!

Founded in 2005, the Dolphins swim team is a high-performance swimming program that has consistently produced national and international level swimmers. Besides the benefit of physical conditioning, our program fosters the personal discipline required to persevere; the confidence-building of progress in competition; the social growth from travel; learning to accept victory and loss with equal grace; and developing values from competing as both an individual and a team member.
